In your first year of the A level in Psychology, you will study AS. This can be a standalone qualification. In your second year, you will study A2 and together with your AS qualification they will gain your full A-level.

Unit 4: Psychopathology.
Your lectures will involve you in acquiring knowledge and understanding of psychological theories. You will learn to demonstrate an ability to analyse and evaluate psychological theories, findings and how to apply this knowledge. This will be achieved by group discussions, debates, practical experiments and written work. You will learn the 'language' of 'how science works', which is invaluable in psychology where evidence is paramount if a theory, is to be taken seriously.
The A level in Psychology is free for those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course.
For those aged 19+, this course will cost: £2225
Year 1, AS Level - £811.
Year 2, A Level - £1414.

If you are aged 19 years or over on the first day of your course, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with your College fees. If you progress to employment, you won't have to pay anything back until you’re earning £27,295 per year. Your household income isn't taken into account and there's no credit check. During the A level in Psychology, you will be assessed through five written examinations.
At AS level you will take two papers, and at A2 level you will take three.
You will have a Personal Tutor to help guide and support your learning. Information on study skills and access to study support groups is available if required.
There are no specific costs but students may be asked to contribute towards educational visits and other activities.
