 What apprenticeship are you studying and what is your current job role?
I am currently studying a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship and work as a Trainee Building Control Surveyor for my local authority.

Why did you choose to become an apprentice?
I chose to go down the route of an apprenticeship as I did not want to go to university. I felt this would allow me to set off on a good career path.

What have you learnt/achieved from being an apprentice?
Whilst studying as an apprentice my job role changed meaning I no longer worked in admin and moved over to a technical role. I feel I have gain knowledge of the construction industry and will be progressing to achieve a degree in the future.

What are your plans once you have completed your apprenticeship?
Once I have completed my apprenticeship, I will be continuing in my current job role and hopefully progressing onto a Degree course.

What would you say to others thinking of applying to become an apprentice?
Becoming an apprentice is a good way to begin your career or a new role in a new industry. It allows you to learn and earn at the same time whilst gaining valuable experience.
