James Clayton and Haydon Towens
We are currently studying a Boston College Level 3 Apprenticeship in Computing and IT as this is an area we have always been interested in. The apprenticeship we are studying requires a good level of time management and the ability to prioritise your workload as it involves coursework and exams to prepare for.
The reason we chose an apprenticeship is that we did not want to go to university and felt it was a happy medium between work and education. We have the ability to earn money whilst still developing our knowledge in an area we really enjoy. Our assessor visits us in our workplace, reviews our progress and helps us alongside our employer.
After our apprenticeship we feel we will have a better chance to progress and work within the industry as we have both knowledge and experience.
