I had heard good things about the course at Boston College from my friend – and it’s the best decision I made. I enjoy that you get to work on real-life clients, as it builds your confidence. We also gain experience from working on the salon front desk, making appointments and taking payments, so it really prepares you for industry.

As well as practical skills, we also learn the theory behind hairdressing; how the hair grows, and which shampoo is best for which kind of hair. Our group is quite small, so support from our lecturer is always available.

Once I finish College, I would like to be fully qualified and hope to work on a cruise ship.
