Living in Lincolnshire

International - The Town of Boston

Lincolnshire is one of the most beautiful counties in England with a wide diversity of landscapes, including several sandy beaches, heathland forests and urban areas such as Lincoln. In addition, there are a number of attractive market towns and villages.

Boston is a traditional English market town in the county of Lincolnshire. It is a small, quiet, rural location with a population of around 60,000 people. Boston is about 120 miles from London. Located on the East Coast, it is an area of rich farmland, and has a fascinating agricultural and maritime history. Boston is a seaport with docks, a fishing fleet, and just over half an hour from the seaside holiday town of Skegness.

The town has a wide variety of shops, sports and entertainment facilities. There are good road and rail links to cities such as Lincoln, Nottingham and Cambridge, with London just two and a half hours away by train.

The town is easy to find your way around either on foot or by bike, and is a safe and pleasant place in which to live and study.
