Ingelow Centre

Boston College's Purpose Built Entry/SEND Centre

The Inglow Centre supports students with learning difficulties and/or associated disabilities who have mobility and/or additional support needs.

Opened in 2012, the Centre offers a safe environment where learners can socialise during their break times, and an outside space specifically for their own use. Learners are encouraged to also use the main College facilities, and staff actively support them to join in across-college activities.

Take a look around...

The Ingelow Centre has the following facilities:

  • 10 classrooms
  • A flat, offering a real home environment
  • A sensory classroom
  • A computer lab
  • An art room
  • A fully equipped catering kitchen
  • A quiet room
  • First aid/personal care facilities
  • A sensory garden
  • A large greenhouse
  • A summer house
  • Gardens

Foundation learners also manage and run the i-Cafe and i-Shop, all as enterprise, providing realistic working environments.
