INTRODUCTION

This workshop will provide a basic introduction to choosing and using a digital camera, and using basic photo-editing software.  The classes are kept to a maximum of 10 students led by an experienced tutor who will have ample opportunity to interact with the group.

WHAT WILL I DO

• Learn about the basic features of a digital camera such as Megapixels (resolution), Memory, Optical and digital zoom
• Camera shooting modes
• The options available for downloading (transferring) and printing your photos
• Installing photo editing software
• Basic photo editing including:
• Correcting redeye
• Cropping, brightening and straightening your photos
• Sending photos as an attachment to an email

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

This 6 hour workshop is run over 2 sessions of 3 hours each. The workshops run at various times throughout the year.

• Monday 28^th March 2011, 2pm - 5pm
• Monday 13^th June 2011, 2pm - 5pm
• Monday 20^th June 2011, 2pm - 5pm

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

You will need to have basic computer skills such as using a mouse and keyboard.
