The 4 Real Programme

INTRODUCTION

4 Real  is an inclusive programme for 14 – 16 year olds who are disengaged from education for a variety of reasons. The programme is designed to build confidence, self-esteem and re-engagement in the education process.

What Will I Do:

Within 4 Real there is a variety of qualifications with the emphasis on personal progression. The suite of courses will include Functional Skills in English, IT and Maths as well as other Employment and Personal Development based qualifications. There is also an option for some vocational courses subject to availability.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Where appropriate students are placed on work experience, which will assist in developing employability skills.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

4 Real is a one or two year programme dependent on each individual learners need.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

Entry is based on interview and support from either school or external referral agent.

WHERE COULD IT LEAD

Completion of qualifications and a good reference may lead to acceptance onto level 1 or 2 courses

FEES

Full time Courses are free for those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. For others, fees may vary depending on personal circumstances. Please enquire for details.

Funding must be place from school or external funding agent prior to interview.

ADDITIONAL COSTS

For stationery and trips a contribution is expected.
