INTRODUCTION

This introductory course is available as a 1 evening per week attendance. The 7 week course has been designed for those people who wish to gain a basic understanding to the motor vehicle industry and qualifications.

WHAT WILL I DO

Attend College on a part-time evening basis to study theoretical and practical motor vehicle maintenance.

A range of introductory tasks and skills have been included within this programme of study to provide you with a broader insight into the vehicle maintenance industry.

You will also be required to carry out some theory / research work in your own time away from the planned course attendance.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

The course runs for one evening per week for 7 weeks.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

You should have an interest in developing your skills and knowledge in the motor vehicle industry. There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

WHERE COULD IT LEAD

The introductory course is to form an entry point for successful learners into the range of technical certificates which are available. Successful completion of this course provides progression opportunities to the Motor Vehicle (Cradt Training) Level 2 Evening course.

For workshop activities you will need to purchase your own safety footwear and protective clothing that meet the course requirements. For classroom activities you will need to provide stationary and writing materials.
