This introductory course is available one evening a week.
The 7 week course has been designed for those people who wish to gain a basic understanding at an entry level which is related to the carpentry and joinery industry.
WHAT WILL I DO
A range of introductory tasks and skills have been included in this programme of study to give you as broader insight into the carpentry and joinery industry as possible:
One evening per week for 7 weeks.
You should have an interest in developing your skills and knowledge in the carpentry and joinery industry, there are no formal entry requirements to this course.
This introductory course is to form an entry point for successful learners into the Carpentry and Joinery (Craft Training) Level 2.
Your performance on the Introductory course in Carpentry and Joinery will be assessed and monitored. This information will be used when making a judgement on your ability to progress to further courses.
For workshop activities you will need to purchase your own safety footwear and protective clothing that meet the course requirements. For classroom activities you will need to provide stationary and writing materials.
