The International Access to HE course is a special one-year course for students who want to prepare for entry into a British University.
The aim of the course is to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the British University system. It ensures that your English will be good enough to cope with University level study. You will learn how to make good use of libraries and learning resources and you will spend time improving your study skills so you can take good notes, write essays and reports, make presentations and prepare for examinations.
PROGRAMME
The certificate is gained by achieving credits in the core and option subjects. The Core subjects are:
· English as a Foreign Language
· Study Skills
· Core Maths
· Information Technology
You will also choose two subjects that relate to the University course you are aiming for. The available options include:
· Business Studies
· Biology
· Mathematics
· Sociology
· Computing
· Law
The September course will be 21 hours per week including EFL for 33 weeks from September-June. Hours of attendance will vary according to the options chosen.
The International Access to HE programme is a popular course, successful completion of which allows students to enter a British University.
