INTRODUCTION

You will study 8 units as your Principle Learning.

• Exploring the engineering world
• Engineering applications of computers
• Producing engineering solutions
• Electrical and electronic circuits and systems
• Application of manufacturing techniques in engineering
• Application of maintenance techniques in engineering
• Exploring engineering, innovation, enterprise and technical advancement project

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

The course can be studies full-time for one year or part-time over 2 years on a day release or evening basis.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

A relevant Level 1 vocational qualification or 4GCSE’s at grade A- D to include Maths and English.

Applicants should provide a good reference and successfully complete an interview. Applicants will also complete an aptitude test, where they will have demonstrated abilities and an interest in the subject.

Entry to the Evening provision is through the Pre-Vocational evening course and associated assessment at the end of the course.

WHERE COULD IT LEAD

To a full-time college course or Work Based Learning within the engineering industry.

FEES

Full time Courses are free for those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. For others, fees may vary depending on personal circumstances. Please enquire for details.

ADDITIONAL COSTS

For workshop activities you will need to purchase your own safety footwear and protective clothing that meet the course requirements. For classroom activities you will need to provide stationary and writing materials.
