This course is open to students wishing to develop their skills in Plumbing to Level 3. Those with employment in the Plumbing industry will be able to achieve the NVQ and the Technical Certificate. Those without employment in the industry will be able to achieve the Technical Certificate only.
WHAT WILL I DO
Topics covered include:
Facilities for training include fully equipped plumbing workshops with simulated real-life work areas and learning resource rooms. All students will have access to information on study skills and study support groups if required. Assessment is carried out throughout the course and includes practical tests and written examinations (multiple choice) and an assignment.
This course runs on a Day Release basis.
For the Technical Certificate Level 3, candidates must have achieved Plumbing Technical Certificate Level 2. For the NVQ Level 3 candidates must have completed Plumbing NVQ Level 2.
Progression options include employment within the industry as a qualified plumber, with possible career progression to line manager responsibilities.
For workshop activities you will need to purchase your own safety footwear and protective clothing that meet the course requirements. For classroom activities you will need to provide stationary and writing materials.
