NCFE Certificate for Resort Representatives
Level 2

INTRODUCTION

This NCFE level 2 course aims to provide an overview of the travel industry and introduce you to the roles and qualities of the Resort Representative. By outlining the various activities in which Resort Representatives may be involved you should be able to develop your job application and interview skills.

WHAT WILL I DO

You will study five units of competence:

  • Investigate employment opportunities for resort representatives
  • Undertake resort pre-season preparation
  • Manage airport and transfer duties
  • Undertake in-resort duties
  • Investigate the role of the children’s representative

The five units are assessed by assignments which may be written or oral and will together form a portfolio of evidence that is internally moderated.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

This course is offered over 30 Weeks on a Part-time basis and as a supplementary qualification for full-time learners (approx 2 hours per week - during 2011/12 Tuesday mornings - subject to change in 2012/13).

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

This certificate is a compulsory part of the full-time Level 2 Travel and Tourism course.

Part time applicants should demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and suitability for the job and supply a positive reference.

WHERE COULD IT LEAD

The Certificate should enhance your prospects of gaining employment in the travel industry. The tour operator Thomas Cook Holidays guarantees interviews to all those who pass and meet their eligibility criteria.
