INTRODUCTION

This VTCT Level 3 Diploma qualification in Indian Head Massage is an ideal addition to body massage, reflexology etc but can be used just on its own. The beauty section has three fully equipped salons, together with a reception area for all practical skills. These salons are open to the general public and students will have time allocated to work on outside clients. Theory sessions will be taught in either the resource area or various classrooms.

WHAT WILL I DO?

The course consists of 3 modules covering topics such as:-
• Client assessment
• Practical massage techniques
• Theory of head massage
 
The course of study will include theoretical and practical techniques for massage of head, face, neck, back and shoulders, Anatomy and Physiology, some assignment work, individual and group work and production of a portfolio. Each student will be assigned a personal tutor and will be required to undertake a period of work experience within the College salon. Average group size is 12-16 students.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

This course is offered for 2 hours per week over approximately 27 weeks on a Part-time evening basis.

A minimum of 80% attendance is required to achieve this qualification.

WHERE COULD IT LEAD

Successful completion will enable you to provide this treatment, perhaps alongside existing therapies. Useful for work in salons, health clubs or in the workplace.

Students will need to supply their own towels. This includes: 3 bath towels, a towelling wrap and 2 small towels.
