The BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism is designed to provide you with a variety of skills for the world’s largest industry. Our aim is to prepare you for satisfying and rewarding employment in the enormous range of occupations in travel and tourism.
This two-year course combines class work with opportunities to carry out practical work, visit tourist attractions and prepare for work in these specialised areas.

This National Diploma course will be assessed internally by the production of a portfolio of evidence. You may also be able to take advantage of opportunities to volunteer at local tourism events. Visits to local travel and tourism businesses are a part of the course as is an annual trip abroad (depending on numbers).

The two year course is full time and taught for 34 weeks a year from September to June. Approximately 21 hours will be spent in the classroom each week.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably to include Maths and English.
Successful completion of the course could lead to progression into Higher Education, or employment within the industry.
Full time Courses are free for those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. For others, fees may vary depending on personal circumstances. Please enquire for details.
