- Application Process
HOW TO APPLY TO THE COLLEGE
The College Application process – you must follow these steps:
Stage 1
- Complete the application form.
- Attach a passport size photo.
- Post, fax or email to the college as soon as you can.
- Attach copies of your exam results and qualifications, from school - these should be translated into English.
- A photocopy of your passport is also required.
- We will review your application and if appropriate will issue a conditional offer.
Stage 2
- To accept your offer you will need to pay the tuition deposit. Instructions on how to do this will appear in your offer letter.
- Also, you will need to provide official bank statements, translated into English, signed and stamped by the bank, Ideally the bank statements should be in your sole name and the balance in your account for more than 28 days, to adhere to the UKBA Tier 4 rules and regulations.
- When you have satisfied all conditions and paid the deposit we will issue the CAS number and statement. A CAS number cannot be allocated more than 6 months prior to the start of your course. To apply for your visa you must have a CAS number and CAS statement issued by Boston College
Stage 3
- Apply for your student visa (see below).
- When your visa is granted, book your flight and tell the International Office.
We will arrange for you to be met at the airport and brought to the college. This is a FREE Service the first time you come to the UK.
Applying for your student visa
It is important to apply in good time. The visa offices get very busy before the start of the academic year and it could take several weeks to obtain your visa. However, you can only apply for your visa 3 months before the start of your relevant course. Visit www.ukcisa.org.uk and follow the links to International Student Advice, Guidance notes ‘I am coming to the UK to start my studies. What do I need to do about immigration?’ This website gives up to date, accurate information on the visa application process.
