Money Matters
The question about whether or not you can afford to study often worries people. Boston College strives to give you the best guidance on financial information and support, and to help you no matter what your situation.
Fees and Costs
Once you have chosen a course to suit you, please contact the Information Officers on 01205 313218 to find out about tuition fees and approximate additional costs. If a course lasts for more than one year, only the first year’s tuition fee and costs will be listed, unless otherwise specified. Fees apply to Government subsidised courses followed by students ordinarily resident in the UK and most students from EU countries. Full-time course tuition is free for those who are under 19 on 31st August of the year they start their course. For the over 19's, fees for courses vary, with some concessions depending on your circumstances. The approximate Aadditional costs can include registration, materials and assessment for example, and are payable to the College on enrolment. Other costs, such as membership of professional bodies or tools and kit, will be explained when you enrol. Further details can be found in the College’s Fees Policy, available from Learner Services.
It is now a government requirement that we must see proof of identification for all learners. This can take the form of a passport, driving licence, National Insurance card, bank credit / debit card, exam certificate, employer’s ID or government Entitlement to Benefit letter. We are unable to enrol you without this identification.
