Case Study : Reece Chapman (Sport and Leisure)Reece originally planned to stay on at school and study for his A Levels, but after his first year he discovered it was no longer for him. “I was very focussed on the fact that I wanted to study Sport so I thought a move to college would be a better one for me”.
“The course is exactly what I had expected; it is pointing me straight in the direction to achieve my personal aims and goals. We have practical sessions every day, balanced with the background theory”.
Aside from college Reece has a part-time job which he finds easy to fit around college hours.
After Reece has finished his second year he hopes to go onto university where he will study Sports Science or Sports Coaching. This he hopes to use towards a career in Teaching. “The tutors here have been very supportive and really encourage you to do well; I can see myself teaching secondary age students in the future”.
