Jane Upsall

I used to work as a Service Manager in a garage, but after taking up running and then starting to train people to run I decided I wanted to a career change. I’m now studying the HND Sport and Exercise Sciences course the Boston University Centre, with the aim of becoming a PE teacher.

I study at college for two days a week, which means I still have time for a part time job and family commitments. The course has opened so many doors as we cover a variety of different units meaning there are so many career paths you can go down. The course is also 100% assignment based, which is less stressful.

The lecturers are also very supportive, they are always on hand to help if needed.
